As Ole Miss takes on Wofford tomorrow afternoon in Oxford, it will also mark the debut of the new-and-improved Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

This video gives the audience a very cool look at the expansion process — which includes a grass field. Per head coach Hugh Freeze’s request, the playing surface will be of the grass variety for the first time since 2002, and for only the third time in the stadium’s 101-year history.

Costing roughly $43.5 million, extra seating has been created for both the band and students. The stadium holds 64,038 people. The number “38” is a tribute to former athlete Chucky Mullins — who had worn the number before becoming paralyzed via a tragic game injury in 1989.

With this celebratory feel to the contest, the Rebels should be more than ready to play.
