Video: UGA 5-star commit gives shout out to Dawgs after high school state championship

The Bulldogs are recruiting Richard LeCounte as a safety in the 2017 class. But the 6-foot-1, 175-pound junior out of Riceboro, Ga. is also a basketball star.

LeCounte and the Liberty County basketball team defeated Jonesboro 58-52 for the state championship. LeCounte also showed off some other skills, perhaps foreshadowing a touchdown celebration.

LeCounte announced his commitment to Georgia in December, and it looks like he’s not swaying.

The five-star ATH is set to enroll in Athens next January.
