Viral video captures moment Kansas player’s parents saw him catch game-winning 2-point conversion

By now, you’re probably all well aware that Kansas pulled off a massive upset at Texas on Saturday night.

In overtime, Kansas went for 2 points and the win, completing a pass to Jared Casey for the game-clinching conversion.

His parents just so happened to be in the crowd in Austin, and they captured the moment when Casey won the game for his team. This video is awesome:

KC Star reporter Jesse Newell details just how far Casey’s parents had to travel to watch their son’s special moment:

Casey immediately knew where had to go next. After celebrating with teammates, he ran 100 yards across the field over toward his parents Karen and Jerry, who’d made the 11-hour drive to watch him play.

What a special moment for the Casey family. One they’ll remember forever.
