A ball boy standing near the sidelines of Detroit-Chicago game appeared to be a sitting duck when Chicago Bears QB Mitch Trubisky scrambled away from defenders to the sideline.

As Trubisky hit the sideline, he was pushed out of bounds late, which drew a flag, but it also sent the ball boy tumbling on to his keister. He stood up as players exchanged words following the whistle, and he didn’t appear to be injured.

NFL games are often faster up close than most people see on television, so this is an important reminder for those close to the field, especially ball boys, to get ready for the action to come right at, and possibly through, you.

The Bears were up big on the Lions early in the third quarter.
