As the 2018 season approaches, it’s time for some scorching hot takes, and CBS Sports analyst Brian Jones provided one on Wednesday.
When discussing the SEC, Jones made a bold prediction about the team that eventually wins the SEC title.
As you can see in the video below, Jones said on “Time to Schein” with Adam Schein that he believes the SEC champion will have at least two losses:
“I think the SEC is going to be crazy this year. The champion of the SEC has at least two losses.”
Plus, @JonesN4mo tells @AdamSchein that he doesn’t believe that champion will be Alabama #T2S pic.twitter.com/O4bZrdc9RZ

“I think the SEC is going to be crazy this year,” he says. “The champion of the SEC has at least two losses.”
Jones goes on to say he doesn’t think Alabama will win the conference title this year:
“I do not. I didn’t pick Alabama last year,” he says. “It’s nothing against Alabama, but let’s talk about Alabama. For instance, let’s talk about how Georgia has their erase and replace. Bama has shown they can do that better than anybody, but when has Alabama faced the turnover that they have with the defense — three returning players — and the coaching staff — two new coordinators? Let’s see how they handle that.”
Of course, Alabama didn’t win the SEC title last year and still managed to win the national championship. Could we be in for a repeat in 2018?
