Former Mississippi State defensive lineman Chris Jones contributed to a bad series for Blake Bortles as he made an interception and returned it for a touchdown for the Kansas City Chiefs in the first half on Sunday.

Jones was the beneficiary of an ill-advised dump-off pass from Bortles in the Jacksonville Jaguars territory, and he rumbled the rest of the way to give the Chiefs a 20-0 lead going into halftime.

There’s hardly anything better in football than a lineman miraculously getting the football and having a chance to score. And then actually doing it. Perhaps that was illustrated most by QB Patrick Mahomes doing his best happy dance in response. Of course, it helped to be ahead by three touchdowns.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 311 pounds, Jones showed some special athleticism by avoiding a would-be tackle from Bortles on his way to the end zone.
