No. 12 LSU takes on No. 7 Auburn this Saturday in arguably the most intriguing SEC matchup of Week 3.
Both squads are looking to acquire a big conference win that will help their team get off to a fast start in the always-competitive SEC West.
On Friday, Colin Cowherd predicted what would happen in this matchup on Saturday and who he thinks will win this big Week 3 matchup.
“I like Auburn in this football game,” said Cowherd. “First of all, the home team has won the last five matchups here, Auburn has won 13 straight at home, they are 21-1 at home against ranked teams under Gus Malzahn, that includes beating ‘Bama, who was No. 1 at the time and Georgia, who was No. 2 at the time.”
Cowherd also is very high on Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham.
“Auburn’s quarterback to me, Jarrett Stidham, is the most underrated player in college football. Everyone knows about Alabama’s quarterback, Jarrett Stidham has never lost a home game at Auburn, has completed 73 percent of his throws at Auburn, and Ed Orgeron is going to get a lot of love and the TV cameras love, love Ed Orgeron. (Stidham has thrown) 12 TDs, three picks at home, beat Alabama, Georgia, he’s an NFL quarterback.”
“Auburn wins by a touchdown, 27-20.”
