The College Football Playoff released a promo video on Monday afternoon.
It gives a glimpse of a preview of the national championship game, which will be held on Monday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. ET in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Precisely one week before that game takes place — on New Year’s Day — semifinals will be held in New Orleans and Pasadena to determine the teams that will meet for college football’s greatest prize.
No. 3 Georgia battles No. 2 Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl at 5 p.m. ET. Then, No. 4 Alabama kicks off against No. 1 Clemson in the Sugar Bowl at 8:45 p.m. ET. Both games will be televised on ESPN.
The winners will meet up in Atlanta for a shot at the national title.
Could it be two SEC teams? That would most certainly be fun.
