WATCH: Dan Mullen has hilarious response to Lane Kiffin’s tweet welcoming him to ‘FAU’s state’

Newly-named Florida head coach Dan Mullen had a hilarious response on Monday when asked about Lane Kiffin.

Mullen, who coached Mississippi State from 2009 through the end of this season before being hired by the Gators on Sunday, joined the SEC Network’s “Thinking Out Loud” show to discuss his new gig.

He was asked by hosts Greg McElroy and Marcus Spears about a tweet that Kiffin sent out welcoming Mullen to “faU’s state.”

Here’s the tweet from Kiffin, for reference:

Mullen’s response was fantastic.

“Well, you know what, I think they have an extra letter in their name in there,” Mullen said. “He’s gotta drop that letter a little bit.”
