It didn’t take long for former Alabama defensive standout Da’Ron Payne to find his way into the backfield for his new NFL team.
On Thursday night, Payne recorded his first NFL sack against the No. 3 overall pick, Sam Darnold.

As a junior, Payne was named the defensive MVP in the Sugar Bowl and in the National Championship game. He was drafted No. 13 overall by the Washington Redskins in the 2018 NFL Draft.
