ESPN college football analyst and former Georgia All-American David Pollack believes Jimbo Fisher could be the next head coach at Texas A&M.
Pollack detailed his reasons why on Monday evening.
“Why on Earth would you leave Florida State … a program you’ve built?” Pollack asked in a video that he posted on Twitter. “Well, here’s a couple reasons why … He built this program (at FSU), and look at this year. One bad year, and you see the criticism. It’s ticked him off.
“When you go to a new job, here’s what’s going to happen for Jimbo Fisher,” Pollack added. “He’s going to get a five-year contract for a lot more money … congratulations. You know what else starts over? His clock as a coach starts over. He plays a new game. At FSU, he’s in the third quarter. His career now starts over.
“He has a bad year, he’s not getting called to be fired like he would next year if he had a bad year at Florida State.”
Pollack also sent this follow-up tweet:
Jimbo going to A&M also allows him to make some staff changes in an easier manner. Oline and DC wld be 2 that come to mind. Chavious stays!
