WATCH: ESPN’s Steve Levy relives his hilarious ‘bulging disc’ gaffe, says he thought he was going to be fired

Back in 1995, SportsCenter anchor Steve Levy was trying to describe and injury to New England Patriots player Maurice Hurst’s neck.

However, instead of saying “bulging disc,” Levy said Hurst had a bulging, well, something that sounds an awful lot like “disc.”

Levy was filling in for Dan Patrick that night, and recently, on “The Dan Patrick Show,” Levy relived that hilarious moment. As you can see below, he says he thought he was going to get fired, and also said his cohost, Keith Olbermann, was absolutely no help:

Of course, Levy wasn’t fired, and is still with ESPN to this day, so all’s well that ends well.
