WATCH: Every player gets unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in Big 12 game

Remember that game earlier this season between Kentucky and Tennessee when every player was penalized with a personal foul?
It appears that game may have set a precedent.
It happened again on Friday during the Baylor-TCU game after a brawl ensued near the end of the third quarter.
Officials were widely criticized during and after the Kentucky-Tennessee game for throwing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on every player, as it caused some players to end up being ejected after receiving a second penalty.
Many people thought it was a bit excessive. At the time, Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops said it was the first time he’d ever seen anything like it.
Regardless, officials for the Baylor-TCU game deemed it necessary once again.

At least this massive penalty occurred late in the game, as opposed to the aforementioned game between the Wildcats and Vols. That one occurred in the first half.
Perhaps it was necessary in this case.
