On July 22, Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney was pulled over for a seatbelt violation. The police then discovered a black rifle in the back seat of Toney’s car.

Toney, who initially tried to evade the police prior to getting pulled over, isn’t facing any civil traffic penalties from the stop. He told the officers that he purchased the gun as protection from locals.

Gators cornerback Brian Edwards was with Toney in the car when he was pulled over. Both Toney and Edwards were handcuffed for safety reasons because of the rifle in the back seat.

On Wednesday, the Gainesville Police Department released body cam footage of the traffic stop involving Toney and Edwards. It is extensive footage that shows the entirety of the stop from multiple cameras and angles.
