It’s unfortunate news that Georgia’s Jacob Eason went down in the first half of the Bulldogs’ season opener against Appalachian State, but true freshman quarterback Jake Fromm is currently taking advantage of the opportunity to play.
Fromm entered the game in the first quarter after Eason sustained a reported left knee injury on a late hit by an Appalachian State defender.
Soon after, Fromm found Javon Wims for his first touchdown pass as a Bulldog:

It was uncertain as of halftime whether or not Eason would return for Georgia. Head coach Kirby Smart reportedly called Eason’s injury a “knee sprain” on the radio.
Kirby Smart tells Chuck Dowdle on radio that Jacob Eason’s injury appears to be a “knee sprain.” Unsure when he can return.
