WATCH: How common is this? Tua Tagovailoa’s parents on field and in the medical tent

It’s not common for parents of injured players to visit the injury tent during a college football game.
But that’s exactly what happened in the third quarter of Alabama’s game against Missouri after QB Tua Tagovailoa injured his leg while sliding. On third down, and after a nine-yard rush, it appeared that Tagovailoa’s cleat got caught in the grass.
The Alabama QB was checked out by the trainers, and came out of the game and went immediately to the injury tent where his parents entered minutes later.
His parents were only in the tent for a few minutes and left while the quarterback remained inside.
