WATCH: Jacob Copeland’s mom walks off the stage after he commits to Florida over Alabama, Tennessee
Tennessee and Alabama fans aren’t the only ones upset with Jacob Copeland’s decision to sign with Florida.
Immediately after her son announced his decision to commit to the Gators, Copeland’s mom got up and walked off the stage on national television. The event was being covered live by ESPN2. To Copeland’s credit, he handled the situation as well as could be expected.
A pretty bizarre moment, especially on Copeland’s big day.
“I can’t go with my mom, I gotta go with my heart,” Copeland said after making his decision.
Video of the incident was uploaded to Twitter by ESPN’s Gerry Hamilton:

The ESPN announcers in the studio blasted his mother for her decision to leave. It should be noted that his mother returned to hug him after the commitment. ESPN showed the moment a few minutes after going back to the recruiting studio show.
What do you make of her actions?
