Monday night was a special one for safety Jamal Adams. His New York Jets thrashed the Detroit Lions 48-17, and he recorded his first-career NFL interception to cap off the game.
While Adams has been a leader on the Jets defense for the past year, his first NFL interception has been elusive; but when a Matthew Stafford pass sailed high in the fourth quarter on Monday night, that all changed.

As Adams said, we should be expecting more of these kinds of plays from the “President.”
The former LSU standout has quickly become one of the best safeties in the NFL. During his three years in Baton Rouge, Adams recorded 209 total tackles and five interceptions.
