WATCH: Kentucky holds press conference to sign 11-year-old with cystic fibrosis

Kentucky’s newest wide receiver held a press conference and guaranteed wins over Tennessee and Florida this season.
And he’s only 11 years old.
On Wednesday, the Wildcats held a Team IMPACT Signing Day celebration for Luke Klausing of Louisville, bringing him on as the newest honorary member of their team. Luke is one of 30,000 patients in the United States living with cystic fibrosis, a disease predominantly diagnosed in children by the age of 2.
Alongside his parents, Luke made an announcement after he was introduced at the front of the press conference room by Kentucky senior tight end C.J. Conrad.
“I have decided to sign with the University of Kentucky,” Luke said while putting on a white and blue UK hat.

In addition to claiming that Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr. is his favorite player, Luke said the thing he’s most looking forward to for the Wildcats in 2018 is beating Florida.
After Luke answered questions from the media, Kentucky director of player development Freddie Maggard raved about the skills of the newest addition to the Wildcats:

After his introductory press conference, Luke left with several Kentucky players to get the chance to go out on the field.
“We love the University of Kentucky,” said Jessica Klausing, Luke’s mother. “It’s something that means a lot to us. We are all about making memories, and ever since Luke was born, we are just all about making the most of life.”
