WATCH: Kirby Smart breaks the news to Kentucky reporter that Jacob Eason transferred
Depending on who you ask, Georgia looks to have a three-headed monster at quarterback next season with Jake Fromm, Justin Fields and Jacob Eason eager to take the field and ready to compete for the starting quarterback duties in Athens.
Of course, anyone suggesting that to you would be woefully uninformed.
For those of you that still don’t know, Eason left Georgia back in January and officially announced his transfer to Washington in early February. Everyone reading this article was likely aware of that fact, but apparently, not everyone covering SEC Media Days was that informed on the subject.
A reporter from Kentucky Sports Report asked Kirby Smart if he’s ever been better stocked at the position with those three in the QB room in Athens. The Georgia coach was quick to correct him and appeared to be holding himself back from laughing during the question.
“If we had all of them, we’d be sitting pretty good but Eason’s gone. He’s transferred,” Smart informed the reporter.

The same reporter that asked the question to Smart offered up a puzzling response on Twitter upon learning of Eason’s transfer.
Kirby Smart has the benifit of avoiding a potential road at quarterback because Jacob Eason has transferred.
