LSU had a football game to play Saturday night against Ole Miss, but the death of basketball player Wayde Sims, 20, was still fresh on the minds of many.
Sims was killed near Southern University in Baton Rouge early Friday morning, and the tragedy sent shockwaves throughout the city.
Saturday morning, an arrest was made in the case and Dyteon Simpson was reportedly charged with Sims’ murder. Less than 12 hours later and before the Ole Miss game, the Tigers held a moment of silence for Sims.
