Former Alabama running back Mark Ingram accomplished an impressive feat on Sunday.
Ingram, who now plays for the New Orleans Saints, eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards on the season during a game against the New York Jets.
Ingram has now rushed for 1,000 yards or more in back-to-back seasons. The 2010 Heisman Trophy winner also has cemented his place as one of the NFL’s elite running backs — if he wasn’t already mentioned in that category.
Even more impressive, Ingram pushed past the 1,000-yard mark, once again, on a 50-yard touchdown run. It was his 11th rushing TD of the season.
The Saints went on to beat the Jets 31-19, as Ingram finished the day with 12 rushes for 74 yards and the pair of scores.
