The pass interference call near the end of the Kentucky-Missouri game will be remembered for a long time around the Tigers’ program. But the blame for the penalty is still up for debate
Missouri DB DeMarkus Acy defended against WR Ahmad Wagner on a play that began at the Missouri 10 with four seconds remaining in the game. Wagner caught the ball, but was initially ruled out of bounds until a pass interference flag came in against Acy. Kentucky was then given an untimed down and QB Terry Wilson hit TE C.J. Conrad to win the game, 15-14.
“I feel I played it perfectly, as I could,” Acy said. “The guy’s hands were all over my helmet, so I tried my best to get my hands off, and I guess referee saw otherwise.”
It’s brought a range of emotions and opinions in and around the Missouri program.
The loss dropped Missouri to 4-4 and 0-4 in the SEC with a game at Florida this week.
DeMarkus Acy didn’t agree with it.
Barry Odom didn’t see it.
Drew Lock wouldn’t talk about it.
Acy’s pass interference sparked a lot of controversy, and I’m sure many of you have your opinions as well.
