WATCH: Mizzou WR J’Mon Moore sounds off on late-game refereeing error

With time winding down in Saturday’s game at Kentucky, the Missouri Tigers were driving down the field for what could have been the game-winning touchdown.
However, with mere seconds remaining on the clock, Kentucky LB Josh Allen swatted the ball out of Mizzou WR J’Mon Moore’s hands as he was trying to get it back to the refs.
As you can see in the video below, the refs then took a few extra seconds to spot the ball, potentially costing the Tigers time to run an extra play:

After the game, which the Tigers lost 40-34, Moore was understandably upset with the situation, telling reporters that he was given no explanation as to what happened on the play and why the refs didn’t take corrective action:

Unfortunately for the Tigers, that’s just the way things are going right now. The loss dropped them to 1-4 on the season and now they have to travel to Georgia next weekend.
