Being a college athlete is difficult, as players must balance their many team obligations with a normal academic workload.
But it’s even harder for those not on scholarship, who often have to work one or more jobs to fund their enrollment. That’s why it’s always so heartwarming to see an athlete awarded a scholarship that greatly reduces the stress and extra responsibility that comes with having to pay their own way.
There are many surprise scholarship reveals in any given season, but the NCAA has compiled some of the best ones from the 2018 football season for our viewing pleasure.
