The No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers beat the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford on Wednesday night, and Ole Miss fans thought they got screwed by the referees.
Even during times when the Rebels were winning, chants of “Refs, you suck!” could be heard in the arena after calls that went against the home team.
Therefore, when the Vols clinched the win after a controversial charging call on an Ole Miss player, frustrations boiled over. After the final buzzer, fans pelted the court with trash in protest of the loss:

Ole Miss coach Kermit Davis eventually had to ask fans to stop throwing trash, but by then the damage was done.
Despite the fan frustrations, the Vols’ win will stand. A difficult loss for the Rebels to swallow, but they’ll need to recover quickly so they don’t let a potential No. 4 seed in the SEC Tournament slip away.
