WATCH: Phillip Fulmer posts chilling message for Vols to ‘Come Together’

Phillip Fulmer is bringing Vol Nation together.

Tennessee’s new director of athletics, Fulmer, was announced on Friday — the same day that UT fired John Currie from the same position.

If you’ve kept up with college football in the slightest over the past week, you know what a circus the Vols’ search for a new head football coach has been.

Tennessee’s administration and its fans have been chewed up and spit out by a multitude of coaches. Now, Fulmer is stepping in to save the day.

The former Vols head coach led Tennessee to a national championship in 1998 and compiled a 152-52 record while at the helm in Knoxville. Fulmer and UT’s “glory days” go hand in hand.

Fulmer posted a simple message on his Twitter account Sunday — one that hopefully will resonate with Tennessee fans, players, boosters and administration alike.

The new motto: “Come Together.”
