President Donald Trump’s arrival to Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game was met with a host of boos.
It didn’t seem to be as much for political reasons as it was the fact that thousands of fans were frustratingly waiting in the rain.
Apparently the stadium was locked down for the President’s arrival.
CNN sports reporter Andy Scholes said he and “a thousand” fans were waiting outside the stadium in the rain to get in.
Of course, when the POTUS is in town for the game, it should be expected that security would be heightened. Obviously, it was:
They locked down @MBStadium for @realDonaldTrump an hour ago and myself and a thousand fans have been waiting in the rain to get in. Let’s just say there were plenty of boos when Trump arrived pic.twitter.com/6XIr8YO5gO

Hopefully everyone made it inside for the 8 p.m. ET kickoff between Alabama and Georgia.
