A junior, Ehlinger was a four-star prospect in the 2017 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. An Austin, Texas native, he committed to the hometown Longhorns and saw action as a freshman.
A big reason why Texas has reached No. 9 in the Associated Press Poll, Ehlinger has thrown for 5,483 yards and 40 touchdowns in his Longhorn career entering Saturday night’s showdown.
