Manvel High School didn’t win the Texas 5A state title game on Friday night, coming up just short against Highland Park, but it wasn’t for a lack of effort from star WR Jalen Preston.
Preston, a 4-star Texas A&M commit, had an incredible game, catching five passes for an impressive 220 yards and three touchdowns.
Each of his three touchdowns were amazing, starting with this 69-yard score where Preston completely reverses field and leaves defenders in his dust:

Preston then showed off his hands, making a one-handed grab in the end zone:

He wasn’t done just yet, though, as his third touchdown went for 95 yards — the longest reception in the history of the 5A state title game:

Those individual highlights won’t make Preston feel much better as his team came up just short of winning the title, but they will have Texas A&M fans excited for next season.
Preston has yet to sign with the Aggies, but everything seems to be on track for February’s National Signing Day.
