Florida’s loss to Kentucky on Saturday was bad for a couple of reasons. First, it snapped a 31-year winning streak the Gators had over the Wildcats, and secondly, Dan Mullen lost his first conference game to what was thought to be a lesser opponent.

Former Florida QB Tim Tebow shared in the embarrassment all Florida fans felt on Saturday, and he talked a little bit about it during an appearance on “First Take.”

“First time in 31 years, you can’t do that!” laughed Tebow. “I wasn’t even born the last time Kentucky beat Florida are you kidding me? I think Florida is in the right direction I think Dan Mullen is going to get them there, I think it’s going to take a change in mindset.”

“I was at practice Thursday before the Kentucky game and I spoke to the team, obviously that didn’t do a lot of good, and there was confidence, but in my opinion, it wasn’t the right type of confidence. It was a confidence of ‘hey we’re Florida, we’re talented, we get a lot of draft picks.’ Listen, draft picks don’t win games, great players win games, there’s a difference between being a great player and being a talented player, and Florida’s talented players need to be great players, and there’s a huge difference. But I think Dan Mullen is going to get it done from taking the talent and eventually making them great.”
