The new title odds for college football came out Monday and it appears the SEC’s only shot of the playoff trophy rests on the shoulders of the heavy favorite.
Alabama increased its odds to win the national championship after an easy win over Charleston Southern, according to Bovada.
Florida was listed at 14/1 for the second consecutive week despite losses by two top contenders.
A win over Florida State on Saturday is the only way the Gators’ national championship odds rise before their showdown with Alabama in the SEC Championship.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ODDS
- Alabama: 3/2 (last week: 12/5)
- Clemson: 4/1 (15/4)
- Oklahoma: 15/2 (12/1)

- Baylor: 12/1 (50/1)
- Michigan State: 12/1 (40/1)

The biggest riser was Baylor after beating Oklahoma State in Stillwater with their third string QB 45-35, essentially eliminating the Cowboys from Playoff contention.
Michigan State jumped the second highest from 40/1 to 12/1 after beating Ohio State.
Iowa, and the Big Ten’s potential bid to the Playoff, still can’t seem to find much love from Vegas as they sit at 20/1, the same as Michigan with two losses.
