The Longest Yards: Texas A&M has the SEC’s farthest road trip this week, a 364-mile trek to LSU. The Aggies’ regular-season finale is only their third road game of the season.
Volunteer State-ment: Vanderbilt travels 179 miles to Tennessee for its road finale this week. The Commodores are 1-4 on the road, with their only victory coming at Middle Tennessee on Oct. 3.
Heavy Mettle: Alabama goes 156 miles to Auburn for the this year’s version of the Iron Bowl. The Crimson would finish a perfect 4-0 on the road with a victory.
Magnolia State Matchup: Ole Miss heads 97 miles to Mississippi State for this year’s version of the Egg Bowl. The Rebels are just 2-2 on the road this season, but they are the only team in the country to beat Alabama this season, winning in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 19.
Just Peachy: Georgia’s jaunt this week for its annual battle with Georgia Tech is only 68 miles long. The Bulldogs are 3-0 in true road games this season. Their lone loss away from Athens was a 27-3 defeat against Florida in Jacksonville on Halloween.
