Week 2 is in the books and so are the penalties that were committed.
Many SEC teams fought tooth and nail to get the victory this weekend, whether they were expecting it or not. For some, it wasn’t enough.
For the SEC teams who did have to fight hard against their foes but prevailed, their penalty count was generally higher than their opponents. The exception to that is Auburn, which won a close game over Jacksonville State but accrued only three penalties.
Eight teams committed more penalties than they did in Week 1 (not including LSU). Five teams committed less. Florida went from having the least amount of penalties last week with just one to the most this week with 12. That’s the most penalties a SEC team has received so far in all of 2015 game play.
