Week 3 NFL Recap: Green returns, has big day vs. Titans

Former Georgia star A.J. Green returned in the 33-7 win over the Tennessee Titans after he missed the Cincinnati Bengals Week 2 game. Green was targeted nine times and caught six passes for 102 yards.

Here are some updates on former Bulldogs who made an impact around the NFL in Week 2:

  • Deangelo Tyson: Tyson, the defensive end for the Baltimore Ravens, recorded one tackle against the Browns in Week 3. He has five total tackles on the year.
  • Orson Charles: Charles was released by the Bengals prior to the start of the season. He’s currently a free agent.
  • Blair Walsh: Walsh has made five of his six field goal attempts for the Minnesota Vikings. He was 3-of-3 in the loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
  • Ben Jones: Jones has started at guard in all three games for the Houston Texans.
  • Justin Houston: Houston recorded three tackles and a sack in the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. He has eight tackles and three sacks on the year.
  • Richard Seymour: Seymour, a longtime player in the league, is currently a free agent after being cut by the Oakland Raiders.
  • Leonard Pope: Pope is currently a free agent in the NFL. He’s spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers and has caught 105 passes for 982 yards and 11 touchdowns.
