Each week we will show SEC fans around the country how the SEC teams have moved up and down in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Notable moves:
- The SEC’s two highest ranked teams last week, Ole Miss and Georgia, lost Saturday, causing a shuffling.
- There is no SEC team in the top 5, the first time that’s happened since Oct. 10, 2010, according to collegepollarchive.com.
- LSU stayed unbeaten behind another 200-yard performance from Heisman Trophy front-runner Leonard Fournette.
- Alabama re-established itself as a playoff contender with a convincing victory at Georgia.
- Texas A&M repeated its 5-0 start from a season ago. Challenges await with Alabama and Ole Miss looming.
- Florida, which dominated Ole Miss behind four touchdown passes from Will Grier, moved from No. 25 to No. 11, the highest jump in the poll.
