Alabama RB Derrick Henry’s name has routinely been mentioned third after fellow SEC running backs Leonard Fournette and Nick Chubb. But Henry outshined Chubb this past Saturday and finally put the spotlight on himself for a change.
Henry — who set career-highs with 26 carries and 148 yards to go with a touchdown against the Bulldogs — was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week by the conference on Monday afternoon, ending Fournette’s run of three weeks holding that honor.
With the performance, Henry matched the Alabama record for consecutive games with a rushing touchdown at 10.

Florida LB Antonio Morrison won SEC Defensive Player of the Week after his effort against Ole Miss. The senior was all over the field, recording 16 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss while getting in on a sack. Morrison’s effort also earned him the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week honor on Sunday.
