West Virginia unveils incredible ‘Country Roads’ helmets ahead of Backyard Brawl

The 2022 college football season is just getting started and, just as much as storylines for the season have been a popular topic of conversation, so have helmets.
Northwestern stole the show before it ever recorded a victory over Nebraska in the season-opener with its Ireland-themed helmets, and now West Virginia is catching some attention for its ‘Country Roads’ helmets ahead of the “Backyard Brawl” game.
The helmets feature a road map of I-79 and other backroads that run through the state of West Virginia. Here’s a look at the finished product:

The Mountaineers are set to open the season against the No. 17-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. CT in Acrisure Stadium.
