After opening the season so promisingly with a 4-1 start, Kentucky has lost three straight and will need to quickly rebound to avoid another long losing streak to end the season.

Coach Mark Stoops addressed that and more during his weekly press conference Monday.

Looking ahead to Saturday, Kentucky travels to Georgia, which has lost three of four and is coming off an embarrassing effort against rival Florida. The Bulldogs haven’t scored an offensive touchdown since Oct. 10.

The Wildcats lost their top running back in the blowout loss to the Volunteers last week, and Stoops already ruled him out against Georgia. Kentucky’s other running backs have combined for 42 fewer yards than Williams’ total through seven games (563 rushing yards, 3 TDs).

The one piece of good news for the Kentucky football program is that their stud three-star freshman safety appears to be getting better each game, with 15 tackles in his past two games after starting the season with just three tackles in his first three games.
