What Zach Arnett said following Mississippi State’s win against Western Michigan
By Mark Kern
Published:
It wasn’t the prettiest win, but the Mississippi State Bulldogs beat Western Michigan, 41-28, on Saturday.
One of the big reasons why it wasn’t a pretty win was because of the performance by the Bulldogs on defense. Western Michigan quarterback Hayden Wolff had a huge game, going 26-of-37 for 262 yards, 3 touchdowns on 1 interception.
Coach Zach Arnett after the game spoke about the win, as well as what is going on with the defense and a couple injury updates.
Zach Arnett doesn't have any updates on Will Rogers and Woody Marks' injuries.
"Those guys are warriors. They didn't want to come out. That's why I appreciate coaching guys like that."

Arnett doesn't go into specifics but sounds like Tulu Griffin was suspended for the first half today. He thought he did a great job responding in the second half.

Zach Arnett on Woody Marks and Will Rogers:
"We'll get them back to the facility. We'll do a thorough evaluation and obviously we'll know more when we talk on Monday."https://t.co/yPO4W1FQS2

In the win, the Bulldogs out-gained the Broncos, 440-413.
The biggest news of the day for Mississippi State was that Will Rogers left the game late with a shoulder injury. He left the field, but came back without his shoulder pads or helmet on.
For the Bulldogs, they do have a bye coming up, so the injured Bulldogs players do have an extra week to try and get healthy. Mississippi State will be back in action on Oct. 21, as they will hit the road to take on Arkansas.
