Former Florida tight end Trey Burton has decided to donate quite a sum of money to a great cause this season, and according to TMZ, his Chicago Bears home debut “cost him” $5,500.

Burton says that for every reception this year, he’ll be donating $1,000 and for every touchdown, he’ll dish out $2,500.

Where’s this money going to? Burton says it’s all going to the International Justice Mission — a global organization aiming to stop the slave trade and sex trafficking everywhere.

On Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks, Burton’s stats equated to $5,500 to the IJS, and he says it’s the best $5,500 he’s ever spent.

Burton told TMZ that his season-long goal is to give around $60,000-$90,000, and he hopes to inspire others to donate as well.

“With how passionate of a sports town Chicago is,” Burton said, “we figured this would be a really cool idea.
