Will Levis gets ripped for poor play in Kentucky’s loss at Mississippi State

Kentucky arrived in Starkville riding high with a 6-1 record and a No. 12 national ranking, but things unraveled for the Wildcats after halftime in a 31-17 loss at Mississippi State.
There was plenty of blame to go around for Mark Stoops’ team, which was carved up defensively and unable to run the ball as well as normal.
But the play of Kentucky quarterback Will Levis would probably have to rank as the biggest issue in keeping the Wildcats winless in Starkville since 2008.
The 6-3, 232-pound junior transfer from Penn State had his worst game in a Kentucky uniform and it proved to be too much for the Wildcats to overcome.
Levis finished the night by completing 17-of-28 passes for just 150 yards, and he also threw 3 costly interceptions and made a number of poor throws in the game. He did throw a 4th-quarter TD pass to DeMarcus Harris but that came long after the outcome had been decided.
Not surprisingly, Levis’s play was met with harsh criticism from Kentucky fans and college football fans in general.
