South Carolina came up short in Saturday night’s game against Kentucky — as the Gamecocks lost a tough one by a score of 17-10.
The offense was inconsistent throughout the evening. True freshman quarterback Brandon McIlwain was inconsistent throwing the football, and the Gamecocks’ offensive line was overwhelmed by the Kentucky defensive front.
Head coach Will Muschamp touched upon a number of topics during the postgame scrum:

Mason Zandi: "I look at Brandon … we’re all frustrated. As an offensive line, we need to give him more time."

Muschamp sums it up: Got to give players the plays to succeed, but also plays they can do. USC just doesn't have the experience.

Muschamp on the offense: "Lack of execution. We got a young group. Lack of continuity." No Deebo, no Dreak Davis.

With the win, UK's Mark Stoops is 5-21 in SEC play. Three of those wins will be against South Carolina.
