South Carolina has a big test awaiting them on Saturday as the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide come to Williams-Brice Stadium.
Unfortunately for Will Muschamp and company, the Gamecocks could be without several key players when they take the field.
Speaking on Tuesday afternoon, Muschamp announced that defense lineman Kier Thomas is out for the game against the Tide. Thomas has missed the first two games due to an infection in his ankle.
Running back Deshaun Fenwick and defensive lineman Brad Johnson are listed as doubtful. Fenwick is dealing with a shoulder injury while Johnson has been dealing with a groin injury since the beginning of fall camp.
The Gamecocks hope to have wide receivers Randrecous Davis and offensive lineman Eric Douglas, both suffering from ankle injuries, available as Muschamp listed them both as questionable.
South Carolina is set to host Alabama Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
