The news comes days after LSU reportedly received its Notice of Allegations from the NCAA regarding its probe into the Tigers’ football and men’s basketball programs.
Jeff Goodman of Stadium reports, per a source, that the allegations were too severe for LSU to keep Wade.

After reports of an FBI wiretap investigation into Wade and his staff’s recruitment of Javonte Smart, LSU suspended the coach ahead of its 2019 regular-season finale. Wade was reinstated after agreeing to an updated contract, including a modification that he can be fired for cause if NCAA infractions committee issues a formal notice to LSU that Wade was involved in a Level 1 or Level 2 violation.
Wade arrived at LSU in 2017. The Tigers went 105-51 under Wade, making the NCAA Tournament in 2019 and 2021. LSU is projected to make the 2022 Tournament as well. The Tigers fell to Arkansas in the SEC Tournament.
