Will Wade throws shade at media who covered LSU football instead of basketball last weekend

LSU has had some success on the basketball court over the years, especially with names like Pete Maravich and Shaquille O’Neal, but the flagship university in Louisiana is definitely still a football school at heart.
Now in his second year as head coach in Baton Rouge, it appears that Will Wade hasn’t quite gotten used to the fact that basketball season doesn’t really start for the Tiger faithful until football season is over.
During media availability Monday, he took a little jab at those writers and reporters who showed up.
Will Wade closes with: “Hope y’all had fun in Arkansas.”

LSU beat UNC Greensboro in basketball Friday night in Baton Rouge and while most outlets likely had a writer or TV personality in attendance, the bigger names were probably already in Fayetteville for the weekend, where LSU beat Arkansas on the gridiron.

Wade delivered 18 wins and a postseason victory in the NIT, but football makes it difficult to turn heads before the bowl season. If the Tigers continue to win through the non-conference slate and into SEC play, Ed Orgeron may be the one looking at the hardwood come March.
