Leading 17-10 after three quarters of Saturday’s meeting at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Willie Taggart’s Florida State Seminoles were outscored, 21-7, in the fourth quarter resulting in a 31-24 loss.
The loss sends Florida State to 1-2 on the season. The one victory was a 45-44 overtime triumph over Louisiana-Monroe.
On the heels of a 5-7 debut season in 2018, Taggart is now 6-9 at the helm in Tallahassee.
This poor record, combined with his team’s habit of imploding in the second half, has led to fans and critics alike ripping Taggart on Twitter.
