The deadline Ohio State set for the results to be released from their internal investigation into the Zach Smith scandal is in just a couple of days, and there’s a growing suspicion that coach Urban Meyer will not lose his job in Columbus.

Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports sat down with “The Herd” to discuss what might happen to Meyer.

“From talking to people around this story, not people who are investigating, but people around it, I think there’s a lot of people who feel like there is an increasing chance that Urban Meyer is going to retain his job.”

Smith’s domestic violence incidents weren’t the only thing that could have previously threatened his employment with Ohio State. This week, the Toledo Blade unearthed a DUI charge from 2013 that was just one more thing that made everyone question Meyer’s decision making, although Smith claims that Meyer didn’t know about the charge.

“Whether Urban Meyer keeps his job or not, people are going to go, ‘what is the reason why you kept him on’ and then ‘what exactly was it that you determined that’s why you fired him?'”

We’ll know in a matter of days whether or not Meyer will return to the sidelines in 2018.
