Canada Prep Football Academy defensive tackle Neville Gallimore announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Saturday at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
A four-star defensive tackle from St. Catharines, Ontario, Gallimore selected the Sooners over Ohio State, Florida State, Auburn and USC. During his junior season in 2013, Gallimore recorded 45 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
The top-rated player from Ontario and No. 68 player nationally, Gallimore has been sought-after on the defensive interior for his explosiveness and quick first step. At 6-foot-3, 300-pounds, Gallimore possesses good speed for his size clocking a 4.72 40-yard dash.
The only SEC program in his top five, Gallimore took an official visit to Auburn in late November. However, that was merely believed to be out of due diligence as the race has been between Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida State.
Gallimore received additional SEC offers from Florida and Mississippi State.
After living in Birmingham, Ala., Jordan left the ground zero of SEC Nation to head south to Florida to tell the unique stories of the renowned tradition of SEC football. In his free time, his mission is to find the best locales around.
