Zach Arnett commented on Will Rogers’ status ahead of Mississippi State’s Week 11 games versus Texas A&M on Wednesday during the SEC coaches teleconference.
Rogers has not played since Mississippi State’s Oct. 7 game against Western Michigan as the quarterback continues to heal from a shoulder injury.
While Arnett did not give a definitive answer on Rogers’ status, he said that Rogers has continued to practice and there will be a decision made closer to game time.
“No new update. He’s practicing,” Arnett said. “Obviously we have a few more days until game time and so a couple more practice opportunities. The medical experts will make a final determination on his availability. So day to day I guess would be the right terminology for that.”
Before his injury, Rogers recorded 1,275 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season. Getting Rogers back for the final 3 games would be huge as Mississippi State looks to reach bowl eligibility. The Bulldogs play Texas A&M this week before taking on Southern Miss and Ole Miss to close out the season.
